Seward Park Residence |
1937 historic photo |
The kitchen of this 1936 house was relocated to a new south-facing addition, and the original dining and kitchen areas were combined to create a larger dining room. The existing grade was raised to the south of the addition providing direct outdoor access from the kitchen. A new arbor encloses an outdoor terrace with adjacent herb garden.
A bathroom and office were added in the lower level of the addition. The floor of the original daylight basement was lowered to provide standard height spaces that include a family room, a bedroom and a large laundry/play room.
The stair was reconfigured
and extended to the attic and additional structure was added in preparation for
a future second story addition.
