Located on a southwest-facing low-bank
waterfront site on the west side of the Hood Canal,
this vacation cabin is designed to accommodate two families. The adult
bedroom suites bracket the other three spaces: a main living room, a screened
porch, and a kid's bunkroom. The shed roof slopes up from the water
providing shelter from the sun during the summer and rain during the winter.
All five spaces have lofts looking back into the forest. Exterior
materials include cedar shingles, cedar-faced plywood, and metal roofing.
Interior materials include concrete, cork and carpet flooring, along with
naturally finished plywood walls and ceilings.
