Greenlake Residence

1934 historic photo

1999 before

Having been eviscerated of all of its historic character during previous remodels, the renovation of this 1904 house was an opportunity to remove offensive materials and improve the original interior configuration of rooms.

The entry was moved to the opposite side of the house improving circulation and creating a better entry.  The kitchen was reconfigured incorporating a previous addition as a family room opening to the backyard.  A second-story addition was added to accommodate a new master bedroom and bathroom.  The third floor was finished for office space with new dormers providing light and ventilation.  A roof deck over the second floor bedroom addition provides views of Green Lake.

A two-car detached garage was later added complementing the design of the house.

Completed January 2001.  Garage completed spring 2002
